Assignment

• Develop an initial prototype of your visualization
  • Create a new folder called “Prototype” in your project directory of our shared folder in Google Drive
  • If your prototype is static, add your mock-ups as a (potentially multipage) PDF called Prototype/mock-up.pdf
  • If your prototype is interactive, put a link to it in a text document called Prototype/link.txt
  • Whether you’re building something screen based or simply using Excel & Illustrator to generate your visuals, place your most up-to-date data files in a folder called Prototype/Data
  • Whatever form your project takes, the prototype must use real data; this is a first draft, not a pencil sketch! If your dataset is too large to visualize fully in one week, pull out a handful of representative cases and visualize those to show the range of outcomes.
